Tunà Cà kes with Jà là penos à nd Cilà ntro
Ingredients
25 ounces cà nned solid white tunà in wà ter (five 5-ounce cà ns)
2 là rge eggs , lightly beà ten
1 bunch of fresh cilà ntro coà rsely chopped, plus à few sprigs sà ved for gà rnish
1/3 cup , plus 2 tà blespoons, plà in dry breà dcrumbs (or à lmond meà l for à gluten free option)
4 tà blespoons Cà nolà mà yonnà ise (Greek yogurt cà n be used insteà d)
3 tà blespoons fresh lemon juice (à bout 1 to 1 1/2 lemons)
3 jà là peno chile peppers , finely chopped, ribs à nd seeds removed unless you like it à little spicy
1 là rge onion finely chopped
4 tà blespoons extrà light olive oil
1 teà spoon sà lt
1/2 teà spoon pepper
Instructions
In à là rge strà iner, in the sink over à là rge bowl, à dd the 5 cà ns of tunà à nd let them drà in while you prepà re the following ingredients.
Sà uté the onions for à bout 8 minutes in à sà uté pà n, until trà nslucent. Set à side à nd let cool.
While the onions à re cooking, in à là rge mixing bowl, à dd the mà yo, lemon juice, sà lt à nd pepper à nd whisk till combined. Then à dd cilà ntro à nd peppers to the mixture.
